DARA SHOWCASED AT WEB SUMMIT 2019

DARA TRADE, the technology company based in Dublin, returned to Web Summit in 2019, the second year running it has showcased its business technology at one of the biggest technology trade fairs in the world. As a company that builds trading software products for professional traders, brokers and trading educators, DARA was showcasing its systems alongside some of the best-known global technology firms, such as Huawei, Microsoft, Google and Boston Dynamics. DARA successfully gained attention among the 70,000 or so attendees for its exceptional focus on intelligence augmentation (IA) systems in the field of investment strategies.

A spokesman for the Irish technology developed said: “It was great to return to Web Summit for the second year in a row in 2019. We were able to showcase how information technology can now be used as a tool to enhance human decision-making instead of replacing humans with autonomous AI systems to an audience of over 2,500 technology journalists and more than 11,000 CEOs at the event.”

Web Summit 2019 took place in Lisbon, Portugal and it attracted more visitors than ever before with a huge number of Fortune 500 companies in attendance. DARA first attended the globally significant trade show in 2018 where its prototype trading AI tool was almost universally praised for its potential. According to Ivo Luhse, DARA's Chief Executive Officer, after a successful first event in 2018, the Dublin-based enterprise wanted to return in 2019 so that it could showcase a fully functional software product - the new DARA app - to a large number of trade fair's visitors.

“After the experience of last year at Web Summit we took on board all the feedback we received and spent last 12 months working non-stop to develop our app,” Luhse said. “This was launched for its public beta testing at the end of October which meant that it was just in time for Web Summit 2019.”

According to the delegation from DARA at the event, the app was welcomed by those who tried it out. “We received fantastic feedback for our new app,” said Luhse. “This came not just from the fact that we have now put together a unique solution not seen in the field of AI trading before but because of the innovative way in which we have been able to combine human knowledge with AI seamlessly.”

The second outing of DARA at the Portuguese technology trade show allowed them to highlight the core idea of the company's offering. In short, this is the idea of the Human Plus machine which combines the number-crunching abilities of an algorithmic approach to trading with the human judgment that can make all the difference with key buying and selling decisions.
